Refund and Rental Policies


REFUND POLICY

All refunds/exchanges require the original cash register receipt and a current photo ID.

ALL Returns must be done within 1 week from the date of purchase.*

*Fall, Spring and Summer Textbooks purchased during the last 3 weeks of the term are non-returnable.

*Intersession Textbooks purchased after the first week of the semester are non-returnable.

Items must be in new and clean condition. 

Wrapped or boxed items must not be unwrapped or opened and tags must be attached.

Defective books will be exchanged only - NO REFUNDS

NO EXCEPTIONS will be made even if crashing the class or wrong item purchased.

NO REFUNDS on review materials, software, blank media, course packets, special orders and study aids.

RENTAL POLICY

●Rentals are to be returned to the Marauder Bookstore on or before the return date. 

●Marauder Bookstore is not responsible to remind students of the return date and is not responsible for returns shipped to the store via any carrier.

●Rentals are property of Marauder Bookstore, Antelope Valley College.

●All rentals must be returned to the Marauder Bookstore in saleable condition.  If they are not returned in saleable condition as determined by Marauder Bookstore, then student may be charged the full replacement value of the rented item.

●If rentals are not returned by the return date, the credit card provided will be charged the full replacement value.  If the credit card is declined, a charge and hold will be placed on the students records.

●Rentals returned during the first 2 weeks of the semester will be issued a refund minus a 10% restocking fee.  New book rentals must be in same condition; rental fee will not be refunded if unwrapped or opened.  Rentals returned after the first 2 weeks of the semester will not be issued a refund.
